Bazil Tume is an early-career conservationist in tropical Biology, of Cameroon nationality and has grown to develop a special interest in the protection of the environment and conservation of wildlife within the Congo Basin. TUME has an M.Sc. in applied Ecology and Wildlife Management from the University of Dschang has undertaken several courses on grant development and fundraising and has worked with several environmental protection NGOs where he specialized in fundraising and coordination of nature-based community livelihood projects through the sustainable use of natural resources.
His professional experience within this field includes working as a focal point/executor of conservation projects including livelihoods training, conservation education programs, agroforestry nursery establishment, and habitat restoration of degraded forest patches in and around Protected Areas.
TUME works with CEPOW as the project’s developer where he oversees and facilitates efforts to secure sponsored project funds, including the development of proposals, fund-raising projects, implementation, and programs. He also explores, researches, and, identifies appropriate funding sources consistent with department/organizational mission and goals.
